Exhibition dates: 18th of September - 20th of October 2025.
In response to the 13th edition of the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art, Detriti Gallery invites artists based in Västra Götaland or with a strong connection with this region to participate in Second Thought, a group exhibition exploring the creative and political power of revision.
Detriti Gallery invites artists to participate in exploring the relationship between artistic processes and the re-evaluation and transformation of narratives, identities, and histories.
Through their practice, artists continuously revisit, challenge, and reframe their own work, as well as personal and collective experiences.
A second thought may take shape in a layer of paint, in a textural change, in an uncompleted sketch, in a step back, in an afterthought or in a sudden jump forward.
We invite submissions that explore themes of identity, reinterpretation and the act of revision as a way to engage with shifting perspectives and possible truths.
The selected artists will be part of the group exhibition held from the 18th of September to the 20th of October 2025.

All works must be clearly marked with material, dimensions, length, size and a short description of the work.
