It Seems Like These Days Merge as One
15 April - 30 April 2025

‘It Seems Like These Days Merge as One’, featured works by Gothenburg-based artist Unni Toivola.

Toivola’s artistic practice moves between painting, textiles, and sculpture, with a focus on materiality, repetition, and transformation. Her working method is intuitive and process-based, often beginning with fragmented sketches drawn in parts. Motifs reappear across media exploring how repetition changes both form and meaning.

This exhibition delves into the disorienting sense of time collapsing, of days folding in on themselves, and moments echoing in strange and familiar ways.

Flashbacks, déjà vu, a shimmer of recognition.

Have I been here before?

It’s like squinting into the sun, bursts of black and green, sudden sparks of light and confusion.

It seems like these days merge as one… and it better be a good one.
